Nerine
An ideal plant for the garden, giving a welcome addition to the autumn border. Plant in a sunny dry position; it will survive over winter provided it is not too wet, and in severe weather cover with straw.Nerine sarniensis, the Guernsey Lily as these are commonly known, flowers in early October. While the Latin sarniensis literally translates to “from Guernsey”, they are actually native to Southern Africa. Planted this year, it will flower next autumn.
