    About Triteleia

    From the western United States

A native of the western United States, Triteleia prefers a warm sheltered site with a light well drained soil. An excellent plant for use in a sheltered border or as a long lasting cut flower, holding its umbels of starry blooms on slender stems above grassy foliage. Flowers May to June at about 30cm.

    The colours

Twilight is a rich royal blue, loosely arranged in airy umbels that move beautifully in a breeze. Queen Fabiola is violet blue with paler centres. Rudy has ice white bells with a blue stripe up each petal, and Silver Queen the same in silver white with a butter lemon stripe. Aquarius, a rare double form of deep royal blue, will quietly do something none of its neighbours can.

The bulbs supplied by Bloms cost the most, gave the most flowers (26), were of top quality and had the potential of doubling themselves next year. The trials indicated that you get what you pay for.
