Spring flowering
Corydalis solida
This fine naturaliser comes into flower roughly the same time as the large flowering crocus and has the added benefit of dying back quickly after flowering without leaving any untidy foliage. A charming bulbous plant which thrives best beneath hedges or on rockeries it produces a great number of flowers on slender stems.
