Tazetta narcissi carry clusters of small flowers on a single stem, sweetly scented, and are among the most generous of all daffodils for the sheer number of blooms they produce. Division 8.
The tazettas carry their flowers in bunches, sometimes a dozen or more to a stem, which makes them look rather more like a posy than a single daffodil. Nearly all of them are scented.
Cheerfulness and Yellow Cheerfulness are doubled as well as clustered, and Silver Chimes is the daintiest of the group. Most stand between 30 and 48cm, Geranium being the tallest we grow.
Where Tazetta Narcissi Do Best
They are among the larger flowering sorts suitable for giving a focal point in a border, and they are particularly good cut, where a single stem does the work of several. Give them a reasonably sheltered spot; the clustered heads appreciate it.
