    About Triandrus Daffodils

Triandrus daffodils are the nodding ones. Each stem carries two or more pendant flowers, which gives a clump a lighter and altogether more informal look than the big single trumpets manage.

Thalia is the one most gardeners know, pure white and around 30cm. The Sensation varieties run a little taller and carry on into May.

    Where Triandrus Daffodils Do Best

One of the three divisions we would choose for naturalising, particularly in grass, along with the cyclamineus and the poeticus. They are equally at home in a border, where the smaller nodding heads sit comfortably among other spring planting, and they do perfectly well in pots.

    When Do They Flower?

Late March through April, with one or two going on into May.

The bulbs supplied by Bloms cost the most, gave the most flowers (26), were of top quality and had the potential of doubling themselves next year. The trials indicated that you get what you pay for.
