Camassia
Planted in a sunny or a partially shaded position these plants bear a profusion of starry flowers in May and June. They require no special treatment but like a fertile, moist well drained soil. Vigorous growers they increase rapidly.

A blue haze
Planted in a sunny or partially shaded position these plants bear a profusion of starry flowers in May and June. Esculenta gives the illusion of a blue haze from a distance; plant it in numbers if you can, because the haze is the point. They require no special treatment, and vigorous growers, they increase rapidly.

In grass and meadow
At Morton Hall the camassias and alliums rise from a sea of wildflowers in the parkland meadow, which is camassia doing what it does best. They are unfussy and thrive even in heavier soils. Leichtlinii Alba, the creamy white form, has been featured on Gardeners’ World; be sure it is the white Alba you are getting and not the commoner blue Caerulea.
