    A very attractive plant for the rockery, making dense mats of foliage studded with small flowers. Adenophylla does not spread too far, which makes it ideal for pots and raised borders where something more vigorous would take over.

    They watch the sun

    Versicolor is the curiosity of the group. Its funnel shaped flowers are pure white margined with deep crimson, so that the furled buds look like tiny striped umbrellas, and Golden Cape does the same in golden yellow with pillar box red. They open during the day and close again at night, which is worth siting them somewhere you pass regularly.
