Cultivated stock, never lifted from the wild
The lovely bluebells increase and multiply from self-sown seed. The bulbs we supply are grown from cultivated stocks and are not lifted from the wild, which matters both legally and for the health of the woods they came from.

Give them time
Hyacinthoides non-scripta is the true English bluebell, with narrow drooping bells scented along one side of the stem, unlike the coarser Spanish bluebell that stands upright and has none. Plant in light shade under deciduous trees and leave them entirely alone; a good carpet takes years rather than seasons, and there is no way of hurrying it.
