Giant

Ixia Giant bears sprays of starry ivory white flowers on wiry stems in July, standing about 30cm tall. These South African corn lilies ask for the warmest, sunniest spot you can give them, with sharp drainage, and they open their flowers wide in the sun. Plant in groups at the front of the border or in the rockery, or grow them in pots in a cold greenhouse for earlier flowers.
