Description

White spider of an amaryllis. The narrow petals twist as they open, primrose at the centre, each one drawn out to a fine point, the whole flower a starburst rather than a trumpet. It ages to a cool lime at the throat. Winter flowering indoors. Shoulders of the bulb proud of the compost, and turn the pot a quarter turn each day as the stem rises, or it will lean for the window.
