Crocosmia
Crocosmia come from the grasslands of southern and eastern Africa. The arching sprays of flower rise above sword shaped foliage from midsummer, and the corms need no more than 8cm of soil above them. Give them sun and good drainage. The clumps build quickly; lift and divide them in spring when they become congested, and replant the best.
