Description

Quite distinct from the Hippeastrum type, it makes an evergreen plant with flowers reminiscent of orchids. Greenish white petals boldly striped burgundy make Papilio, the butterfly amaryllis, a connoisseur’s plant, and a settled bulb flowers again year after year.
