Morton Hall Gardens
The Tulip Festival at Morton Hall began in 2019 as the Midlands Bloms Bulbs show. Since then, it has grown into a hugely popular event, renowned throughout the area and beyond.
The festival is a unique collaboration between Bloms Bulbs, Morton Hall Gardens and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Admission proceeds go to the RSC, because Morton Hall has long supported its costume workshop.
Tulips in the Gardens
The gardening team plants the tulips in highly refined colour schemes, in the formal gardens and in elegant pot combinations. So visitors leave with inspiration for their own plantings.
Alongside the tulips, you will find notes on each variety. Members of the Morton Hall gardening team are also on hand to answer questions about tulip planting and care.
Beyond the borders and pots, Bloms hosts a stunning cut flower show. It brings many more varieties, with expert advice at hand.
A display of resplendent costumes from RSC productions mirrors the colours and textures of the tulips. It adds another festive element to the event.
Beyond the Tulips
Away from the tulip hubbub, visitors can stroll through the tranquil Japanese woodland garden and the dramatic Rockery. Both are serene in spring.
Meanwhile, 3 acres of Parkland Meadow show off their naturalised bulb planting.
A large marquee on the East lawn gives space and shelter for more than 150 guests. A variety of delicious meals and snacks is on offer throughout the day.
Entry runs on timed tickets, and you must book in advance. This keeps access easy and the experience at its best.
