DARWIN HYBRID TULIPS BULBS

Borne on solid stems, they have large cup shaped classical tulip heads. The Darwin Hybrid tulips are classically recommended for naturalising. They are the same family as the red and yellow tulips that we often see growing year after year in apple orchards. They flower from early April, and like their parent, fosteriana tulips, the new bulbs benefit from a long growing season; they start making the offset bulbs before this year’s flower. The colour range used to be rather restricted but has considerably expanded over the last 15 years with colours to suit all locations.
