Tulbaghia

Tulbaghia are delightful perennials with slender, onion-scented leaves and clusters of small, star-shaped flowers in shades of purple, pink, or white. They are native to South Africa and belong to the same family as Allium, Agapanthus and Ipheion. They are easy to grow and rarely affected by pests or diseases. They prefer a dry, sunny spot in the garden, where they will bloom from mid-summer to early autumn. Tulbaghia are ideal for adding colour and fragrance to borders, rockeries, or containers, they are known as a hardy plant.
