Cosmos 123 atrosanguineus, or chocolate cosmos, is a stunning perennial that produces clusters of fragrant, brownish-red flowers on tall stems in late summer and early autumn. This exotic plant comes from Mexico and has been prized for centuries for its heavenly perfume and elegant beauty. Cosmos atrosanguineus likes a moist but well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. It needs a sunny and sheltered position to thrive and protection from frost in colder areas. Cosmos atrosanguineus is ideal for adding colour and fragrance to borders and containers. Cosmos atrosanguineus can be propagated by seed or division after flowering.
