Martagon Hybrids
Originating in the mountains and in open spaces in mixed deciduous and pine forests. You can find the wild martagon in the Alps and Vosges. Martagon lilies grow best on moist, nutrient rich loam and clay soils. The wild martagon is difficult to grow in the garden so these easier to grow hybrids have been developed.
